2025 CITY YEAR END
LMBA YEAR END TOURNAMENT 2025
9U DIVISION
- Team listed first will be the home team
- Home team will report score at the conclusion of the game to Fred Sirett (780)861-2147
- All games will be played at Rendell Park Elementary School (3401 57 Ave)
- All players bat. Batting team’s coach will run the pitching machine. First and/or third base coaches are optional.
- All players field. One coach may be in the outfield to direct players. Another coach is beneficial behind the back catcher.
- Innings end with 3 outs made or 5 runs scored.
- Each batter gets 5 pitches from the pitching machine, then 2 soft tosses from the coach.
- A batter that does not put the ball in play “sits down” - this is not a strike out and does not count as an out.
- Coaches on both teams will share umpire duties for calling fair/foul and safe/out.
- No new innings can start after 1h 15min from the scheduled start of the game. Tied games remain tied.
- Parents off the field are encouraged to demonstrate good sportsmanship when cheering!

SKILLS COMPETITION
- HOME RUN DERBY - 2 COMPETITORS PER TEAM
- 3 pitches per player
- Pitches will come from blue pitching machine and real baseballs will be used
- Distance will be measured where a hit ball first makes contact with the ground
- Top 2 competitors will receive a prize
- DISTANCE THROW - 2 COMPETITORS PER TEAM
- 3 throws per player
- Distance will be measured where a hit ball first makes contact with the ground
- Top 2 competitors will receive a prize
- FASTEST PITCH - 2 COMPETITORS PER TEAM
- Players will pitch into bow net
- 3 pitches per player
- Speed will be measured by pocket radar
- Top 2 competitors will receive a prize
- BASE RUNNING RELAY - 4 COMPETITORS PER TEAM
- Relay teams will line up at home plate
- First player will run the bases and tag the next player at home plate, this will continue until all 4 players have run the bases.
- The fastest relay team will win a prize
11U DIVISION
- Respect Umpires at all times - there will be Zero tolerance for any type of umpire abuse by players, coaches and fans
- 2 volunteers from each team will be responsible for raking and lining the field after their team's games. There will be rakes and lining equipment at each diamond
- Both teams are required to Text the final score of each game within 1 hour of the game finishing to (780-871-2530)
- Games will be 6 innings in length. No inning is to start past the 2 hour mark.
- Maximum of 5 runs / half inning (including the 6th inning for round robin games) - the 6th inning will be an open inning for the Bronze and Gold medal games
- Mercy Rule will be in effect - 10 run differential when the losing team has completed their 4th offensive inning (At-Bat)
- All players must be in the batting order. A player may not sit more than 2 consecutive defensive innings
- Bunting is permitted
- Stealing is permitted once the ball crosses home plate.
- Stealing home on a passed ball is allowed.
- A batter cannot become a runner if the catcher misses strike 3.
- Pinch runners are NOT allowed.
- Pitcher can pitch a maximum of 2 innings or 6 defensive out each day (whichever happens first)
